We went to the park today. You kept saying, "I'm having so much fun!" You learned to pump your feet while swinging./ You keep asking me what will happen if you do certain things (like put your finger under a moving wheel). I tell you and you ask what will happen then. Since the first question had something to do with your finger, even if your finger had no part in the second question, you'd always want to know what would happen to your finger./ You were so cute and calm and loving today. I played with you more and that helped.

I wore a denim skirt today. You asked me why I was wearing pants to church. I told you it was a skirt. You said, "oh, a pants skirt"./ We were talking about sharing. I said sometime you even have to share your mom. You said, "No! We never have to do that!"/ You're testing your limits by not doing things when the opportunity is there (like taking the sacrament) then wanting to do it later.

We bought a green rug at the store today. When Dad was praying, he thanked Heavenly Father for our beautiful new rug. You added, "It is a green rug." with your arms still folded and eyes closed./ If you get cold in the tub, you want to just hug me./ You loved watching "The Land Before Time" and ran around with your elbows close to your sides pretending to be a sharp tooth (t-rex).

Friday, February 6, 2009

You don't like it if you ask us a question and we answer only with a body motion, like a nod of a head. You want us to talk!/ The nights have been cold lately. I've been trying to get you to sleep with a bigger blanket, but you aren't gong for it. You have a blanket that's yours and you don't want anything more!/ You can sing the whole alphabet song perfectly./ You're always singing. Whenever I sing, you tell me to stop-that you don't want me to do that.

You built a train track-a long one that wasn't connected (not a circle-just a line). You exclaimed, "This is the coolest track ever!"/ You like to play dr. I lay down. You lift up my shirt so you can see my stomach. You pile things on it, reassuring me with each new thing that it won't hurt./ Your favorite doughnuts are crumb doughnuts. You call them "crumbly doughnuts"./ Your face is broadening and getting bigger. Your voice is sounding a little different, older.

I was going to the dr. You said, "When you get back I will say, "How was it?""./ You asked if Santa comes for birthdays. You asked what Santa will bring you for Christmas. I asked what you want and you said a train./ You told me you want our old couch so you could eat on it./ We started receiving the Friend magazine. You love it! You wouldn't get out of the car the day we got it in the mail (cuz you were reading it). You saw a picture on the back and immediately wanted to know where you could find that in the magazine. You've had me read it to you several times.

You say "sorry" so many times each day-every time I drop something (nothing to do with you), we bump into each other, random times. I say sorry way too often. I feel bad for teaching you this./ All day long you ask me (before doing something) if it will make me happy or sad. You don't do it if I say sad./ All the time you tell Dad, "Don't be mad. Just be happy.", and he isn't mad. Though, if he's not cheerful, you seem to worry he's mad./ You told me today that you'll "never, never" put away your car.

Monday, February 2, 2009

You liked to disagree/say the opposite of whatever I said today./ You choked once at lunch. Later you looked like you were choking again (I think now that you were straining.). I said, "Don't kid, Eddie. It worries me." Every time you did that, you gave me a really fake smile afterward (w/o me saying anything), so I'd know you were okay./ We played our first game together, Memory. We bought it today at Target. We played three or four matches. You did really well. No problems taking turns. I've waited for this day, and we had so much fun!

Really fevery today. Acted normal most of the day. Really tired tonight. Went to bed early. You fell asleep in Dad's arms and he laid you down. So sweet./ I watched you play chase at church. You follow sometimes, but you do your own thing, too. You take off or turn off. I learn so much watching you play with others.
